This is a fun, easy-going way to spend a day outdoors near Chiang Mai. You float down a jungle river in the Mae Taeng area with mountain views around you, and cool off at a hidden waterfall with natural rock slides. Hotel pick-up in Chiang Mai city is at 11:30, and the trip lasts about 6 to 7 hours door to door.

On the river, you relax on your tube and let the current carry you. Along the way you may see elephants on the riverbank, watched quietly from a respectful distance. Later, the waterfall is the place to splash, slide and cool down.

Non-swimmers are welcome. Life jackets are provided, and a team of local guides gives safety support the whole time. Tubing gear, drinking water, towels, showers and light refreshments are included, so you only need to bring swimwear and a change of clothes.
