Paramotor Experience in Chiang Mai by Upper in the Air

Leave the city behind and see Northern Thailand from the air. Upper in the Air flies tandem paramotors from the training field of the Lamphun Provincial Paragliding and Aeronautic Sports Club in Ban Thi, about 30 to 45 minutes from Chiang Mai, with the mountains right behind the runway.

You need no experience: a certified pilot flies with you and controls the paramotor the whole time. At the field you get a safety briefing, your flight suit and safety gear, and then you take off over rice fields, small villages and green forest.

There are two flights to choose from. The Normal flight lasts about 15 to 20 minutes and flies in the morning or the evening session. The Sunrise and Sunset flights last about 20 to 25 minutes and are timed for the best light: morning mist over the fields at sunrise, or the sun going down behind the mountains at sunset. Only a few of these special flights go each day, so book them early.

Every flight carries a GoPro camera. After landing you have coffee and a snack while the footage goes to your phone, and then the driver takes you back to your hotel.
